Synopsis
This workshop will explore the use of Australian plants in naturalistic plantings that are being designed for functional, aesthetics and biodiversity outcomes. It will focus on two projects currently being implemented in public landscapes across Melbourne – the Woody Meadow and the Streetscape Biodiversity Project.
The workshop will cover some of the latest research activities and the applications to practice of both projects; plus, a discussion around some of the challenges and opportunities for these designed plant communities in the future.
