Synopsis
Our planet is rapidly losing the plant communities that sustain us and other creatures on earth. Planting more native plants in our gardens and parks is an important part of the solution. However, many native plantings that focus on ecological benefits suffer for aesthetic challenges and fail to inspire the public. Beautiful and deeply emotional planting design is an essential part of the solution.
Join us as we dig deep into inspiring design principles derived from wild plant communities that resonate with us and trigger stunning emotional responses. We will analyse appealing landscapes and translate their principles into smaller garden spaces. Learn how to embrace phenology as a powerful design tool and create orderly frames around simplified ecologies to relate planting to people.
