Synopsis

Workshop attendees will be given examples of several design approaches to green roofs. Green roofs for: ecology, civil engineering functions such as storm water management, public recreational space, and plant conservation. Attendees will look at all these projects schematically and also from the plants and soils perspective. Maintenance, budget and other constraints will be covered as well.

Ed will use a Power Point presentation to lead his discussion, followed by a visit to the two innovative green roofs at Burnley.
