Josh Byrne
... has a unique approach to landscape design, community development and environmental projects, which combines a background in Environmental Science with over 10 years of experience in the landscaping, horticultural and media industries.
He is now recognised as a national leader in sustainable landscaping, is a regular presenter on ABC TV’s Gardening Australia and has authored the best-selling book The Green Gardener.
Josh will explain that Australia’s drought conditions and water restrictions have driven the development of water conservation technologies including rainwater harvesting, greywater reuse and water efficient irrigation systems. However, he advocates an integrated approach to these technologies.
Josh will describe his new systems approach to water management, Mains Water Neutral Gardening (MWNG), which integrates water efficient technologies, behavioural practices and local environmental conditions.
