Barbara Garrett
... has for the past twenty years designed and installed planting schemes for residential gardens. She began her career as a physiotherapist but re-trained in Landscape Design at Unitec in Auckland and began working on small garden projects with a select team of gardeners. She has since developed a rewarding working relationship with Craig Steiner which has allowed her to concentrate on soft landscaping and experience a wide range of sites.
Her career has seen garden style and planting preferences move from cottage to formal, subtropical to contemporary. Her planting designs have longevity and year round interest which comes from good structure and thoughtful plant selection.
Barbara, one of Auckland’s most creative designers, finds it deeply rewarding to design liveable gardens allowing clients to enjoy the outdoors with planting schemes that stand the test of time and give all year interest.
