Swinburne’s Diploma of Sustainable Landscape Design
Don't just design landscapes - create beautiful environments
This course was developed by Swinburne and is taught by innovative and award winning designers, teachers, and industry specialists.
You won’t graduate as just another landscape designer but a sustainable landscape designer, with the skills to make a dramatic contribution to a new low carbon economy. You will create landscapes that benefit the environment, facilitate positive social interactions, and are economically viable.
This Diploma is the only accredited landscape design course to offer units in the areas of water sensitive urban design (WSUD), green roofs and walls, designing and maintaining sustainable produce gardens, and overseeing sustainable landscape construction practices (including some fun practical workshops playing with stone, concrete, brick and timber).
The course is offered either part time, mostly delivered in online tutorials with face to face sessions at the Hawthorn campus (this has proved particularly successful for interstate and regional students), or full time at our Prahran campus starting in August 2011. (Saturday practical workshops are conducted at the Wantirna campus.)
Do what you love, love what you do!
